Chinese Contemporary Art

Catalogue for an exhibition at Smith College Museum of Art containing pieces from the Joan Lebold Cohen and Jerome A. Cohen Collection. The exhibition featured works by key Chinese artists from the period immediately following the end of the Cultural Revolution.

The proportions of the trim size quietly echo the vertical nature of many scrolls and paintings in the show. The colors of the exhibition’s logotype recall the black and vermilion stick inks used in traditional Chinese painting.
