Murals give a unique opportunity to enrich the built environment, and provide a variety of challenges that I enjoy very much. My murals are usually more than pretty landscapes — they tell stories that are laden with cultural meaning for the commissioning institution or company.
In making images and installing the final murals, I think carefully about scale, and visitor point of view. Is the horizon line in a place that helps the viewer to feel comfortable? How does the room benefit from the addition of this image, and is the mural in harmony with its surroundings? My background in architecture supports these thoughts as I design these installations.
