Stories Behind Shakespeare’s Most Important Book

Catalogue for an exhibition at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C., presented from January through May 2011. I was responsible for the design of all exhibition graphics in addition to the catalog.

The page size of this book exactly duplicates that of the First Folio from 1623. The front cover reproduces a famous gold-stamped binding; I added the title in modern type, and then altered it with Photoshop to lend these new characters a surface appearance, texture, and color that would match the gold foil from the original binding.
